ROBERT MALLET-STEVENS ‘HAMAC’ ARMCHAIR
An iconic, large-scale ‘Hamac’ armchair by architect and designer Robert Mallet-Stevens (1886-1945) for Pierre Dariel. The frame, constructed from beautifully patinated oak timber, stripped of its worn original paint to leave a limed effect within the grain. The slung, hammock-style fabric renewed in natural Japanese cotton canvas.
