DUO OF SHŌWA ERA JAPANESE BOTTLES
A duo of earthenware bottles, each with earthy crackle glazes to the bodies and attractive, muted turquoise drip glazes to the necks. Likely that they started life as ‘tokkuri’, bottles used for serving sake (rice wine) - although they may have been purely decorative.
Japanese, c. 1930.
