1930S EGYPTIAN STYLE CUPBOARD FROM CHÂTEAU DE CASTILLE
An incredible, ancient Egyptian-esque cupboard of trapezoidal form with provenance from Château de Castille, near Uzès, Gard. Constructed entirely in solid oak timber and painted to simulate porphyry stone, with the top and plinth base simulating black marble. The doors, adjoined by gilt iron hinges and decorative rhombus detailing, open to reveal an interior painted in a complimenting green, with three shelves within. Original functioning lock and key.
